You have followed the course, passed the exam and are now a proud owner of an ITIL certificate. But what do you do next, how do you actually apply ITIL on a daily basis? ITIL is created to adopt and adapt, to tailor to your organisation, but that is easier than said. That is why we organize these user groups; getter the users together.
Implementing a new IT Service Management tool: our ITIL-inspired journey
A few years ago we realised that our ticketing tool was no longer aligned with the scope of services we wanted to offer to our ever-evolving customers. We will share the story of our change to a new solution and how we aligned this solution to our ITIL-practices.
Furthermore, we will give you a glimpse in our future developments and how the tool will support continual improvements in our ITIL journey. This last point will be the subject of the workgroups.
Purpose of QRPs ITIL User Groups
The ITIL User Group is aimed at those with profound experience in ITIL. It is highly encouraged to share your own experiences/challenges in implementing ITIL. The ITIL User Group is made for professionals like you and we also count on your input during the session. QRP creates the platform and has a professional trainer assisting this session to provide support if needed.

QRP International has a long experience in organizing training for project, programme and portfolio managers. QRP has assisted many professionals and their organization in setting up and running a PMO.
Following training is a first step in getting inspired. Translating this inspiration into practice is the second step and in traditional training, this is not part of a course and each delegate is left alone. The road to successfully implementing what you have learned is often hard and lonely as a strategic PMO is just a few (or even one) person(s) within a large organisation.
ABOUT THE USER GROUP
This user group has the aim to respond to this need. The goal is to bring similar backgrounds and profiles together to discuss specific topics within PMO management.
During this edition a User will introduce his PMO topic, before opening the floor to the other Users in a break-out discussion format.
DISCUSSION TOPICS 13TH EDITION
For a couple of years, Belnet has been working on resource management for project, programme and portfolio purposes. There have been some evolutions and bumps in the road and the ideal way of working has not been reached yet. But we have data that we can work with. It remains a work in progress and we always keep looking for new improvements!
Resource management in a PMO environment holds two aspects for us:
- Resource forecasting: to acquire dedicated resources for the upcoming and ongoing projects, the PM needs to draft a resource forecast for every project team member
- Correct estimation of the workload
- Planning of the different projects, depending on availability
- Resource actuals: collecting of the actual hours spend on the different projects
- Cost determination for customer projects
- Lead for future estimations
- Tooling to gather and analyze all this information
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP?
- Discuss your doubts and issues on setting up and running a PMO
- Discover practical solutions of others
- Talk to an expert trainer/consultant
- Get inspired
- Get 1,5 PDU!

DISCUSSION TOPICS 12TH EDITION
We focus on Public administration who often struggle with the question how they can translate their projects into euros.
Questions that arise are the following;
- How would we be able to measure how much a PA project is giving back to the community?
- What are we going to measure?
- How are we going to measure this?
We will have PMO’s introducing their struggle and we will have experts ready to give their opinion.
Also non public sector members can assist as we would value their outside opinion.

For decades, principles and methods of Agile and Lean have been adopted by IT teams to create, deliver, and maintain better IT products and services faster and better. Many of these principles and methods became a foundation for DevOps, and many have been integrated into ITIL 4.
But what is the connection between Lean, Agile, DevOps, and ITIL?
Together with the expert Roman Zhuravlev, ITIL Lead Architect, we will dive into the topic, understanding how organisations can benefit from using Lean, Agile, DevOps, and ITIL together.
This webinar is organized in partnership with PeopleCert.
Date: Wednesday, 7 December 2022
Time: 11.00 – 11.45 AM (CET)
Where: Online
Language: English

PM Success Factors: myths vs. reality – Richard Coppens, Senior Project Director at ESINCOR
During his presentation Richard will start off by tackling the grand question of “why projects fail”. He will draw on his experience to debunk some common PM myths and argue that preventing root causes for project failure is key. Here, in his eyes, is where the importance of a good PM coach comes in, that can support the PM along the way. Richard will also dedicate some time to demonstrate how the PMO can play a major role in this coaching process.
